Thursday the 17th of September was announced the first international patient safety day. The project team in Aachen took the chance to offer a whole-day handoff training experience to last year medical students who are currently spending their internship in hospitals around Aachen.
At the end of the day 22 participants took the course of interactive seminars, practical training with simulated patients and full scale simulators, case-based handoff trainings and video feedback. Evaluation has shown the continuous need for handoff training and further for discussion about medical errors and safety culture in medicine.
Thank you PATIENT project for a further great learning experience.
